Our moderation team reviews reports quickly, typically within the same night. We don't publish content to a review queue — everything happens quietly.
When we remove content or take action on an account, we'll always tell the person why, using clear language. No vague warnings, no unexplained bans.
We use a progressive approach: we'll warn first for most things. Repeated violations, or severe violations, result in suspension or permanent removal.
Community guidelines
Speak honestly, not harmfully
This space is for real things — pain, confusion, joy, rage. That's welcome. What's not welcome: using this space to attack, degrade, or threaten another person.
Protect your anonymity and theirs
Don't share personal information about yourself that could identify you. Never share, speculate on, or attempt to uncover the identity of anyone else in this space.
No harassment
Following someone between rooms, repeatedly targeting them, or any form of coordinated harassment will result in immediate removal.
No sexual content
Under the Lamp is not an adult content platform. Explicit or graphic sexual content is not permitted.
No spam or commercial content
No advertising, promotion, or spam of any kind.
Crisis content
If you're in crisis, we want you to get real help. You can still share here — we won't stop you — but we'll always show you crisis resources first. If you see someone in crisis, please report it so our team can respond.
How to report
Every post has a report button. Tap it, choose a reason, and our team will review it. Reports are anonymous — the person you report will never know it was you.
For urgent issues, or things that happen outside the app, email us directly at safety@underthelamp.app.
Zero tolerance
The following result in immediate, permanent removal with no appeals process:

- —Content that promotes or glorifies violence
- —Doxxing — revealing someone's real identity without consent
- —Coordinated harassment or abuse
