About
A room lit by honesty.
Under the Lamp is a quiet, anonymous space built for women. A place to say the things that don't fit anywhere else.
Why it exists
There are thoughts that live in your head for years. Things you need to say out loud, but nowhere feels safe enough. Not group chats. Not social media. Not even close friends, because being known changes what you're willing to say.
Under the Lamp is that space. Anonymous, quiet, and alive at night, when the honest version of you tends to surface.
The night rule
The house belongs to the night. We chose that deliberately.
The dark changes things. The city goes quiet, the performance of the day falls away, and something more honest tends to come out. That's what we're here for.
How anonymity works
In the rooms, you have no name. Your display name never appears. Nobody sees a profile or a history. Just your words, and the words of the women beside you.
Private Circles are different. There you invite the people you trust, and your name is visible to them. That's the one place where being known is the point.
Who it's for
Under the Lamp is built for women, 18 and over. No exceptions. This is a space with clear boundaries, and that's intentional. Membership is by invitation, woman to woman.
We're not trying to be everything. We're trying to be one thing well: a place where women can speak freely, without fear of judgement, without performance, without pretence.
The people behind it
Under the Lamp is built and run by a very small team. We made it for the women in our lives, after watching them carry so much that never gets said out loud. The rooms belong to the members. We stay out of them, and we step in only to keep the space safe.
We take that responsibility seriously. Every post passes a safety check, reports are reviewed with care, and nobody browses the rooms with names attached. Not even us.
If you have a question, a problem, or something you want us to hear, the door is always open. Find us at hello@underthelamp.app.
